The procedure for making the quilling jhumka is explained below:
Upper part:
- Make a tight coil using 2 quilling strips of gold color. I have used 5 mm quilling strips for this.
- Stick a white pearl in the middle and wrap the Gold Chain ( refer to materials picture ) around it.
- For the edge stick the Pearl Lace ( refer to materials picture ) around it. Here I have used the small pearl lace.
- Then stick the earring stud.
- Make a tight coil by attaching 5 quilling strips of gold color. I have used 5 mm quilling strips/
- Make a cone using the jhumka mould ( whichever shape/size is suitable ). You can also make the cone without the mould as well.
- Apply fevicol inside and outside of the cone.
- Insert the Head Pin ( refer to material picture ) along with two pearls in downward to upward direction.
- Put the Beat ( refer to material picture ) on the top of the cone and stick it.
- Then bend the head pin using nose plier and make a small loop.
- Insert a jump ring to the loop.
- Stick the pearl lace to the edge of the cone. Here I have used big pearl lace.
- Put the completed cone to the earring stud to form a beautiful quilling jhumka.
You can use this earring as a stud as well as a jhumka.
And please don't forget to apply a coat of transparent (clear ) nail polish to give it a shiny look. This will also make your earrings water proof.
