Two in one series ( Dual colour jhumka )


   
               In this post I am showing you how to make a dual color quilling jhumka. I have used two colors to make this jhumka ( one for the stud and other for  the jhumka ). You can make using any two colors to match your outfit. It is very easy to make this unique quilling jhumka. You can make them in different sizes , colors and styles. I have use 3 mm quilling strips to make the dual color jhumka.

You can use this earring  as a stud as well as a jhumka.
And please don't forget to apply a coat of transparent (clear ) nail polish to give it a shiny look. This will also make your earrings water proof.

Two in one series ( Red Jhumka )



       In this post I am showing you how to make a red quilling jhumka. You can make using any color to match your outfit. It is very easy to make a quilling jhumka. You can make them in different sizes , colors and styles.

The materials required are :

  • Quilling needle
  • Gold color quilling strips ( 5 mm )
  • Jump rings
  • Head pin
  • Beats
  • Pearl lace
  • Earring studs
  • Nose plier
  • Fevicol
  • White pearl
  • Ball chain ( gold ) 
  • Jhumka mould

The procedure for making the quilling jhumka is explained below:

Upper part:
  • Make a tight coil using 3 quilling strips of red color.  I have used 3 mm quilling strips for this.
  • Stick a red kundan in the middle and wrap the Gold Chain ( refer to materials picture ) around it.
  • For the edge stick the Stone Lace ( refer to materials picture ) around it. Here I have used the small stone lace.
  • Then stick the earring stud.


Lower part:
  • Make a tight coil by attaching 6 quilling strips of red color. I have used 3 mm quilling strips.
  • Make a cone using the jhumka mould ( whichever shape/size is suitable ). You can also make the cone without the mould as well.
  • Apply fevicol inside and outside of the cone.
  • Insert the Head Pin ( refer to material picture )in downward to upward direction.
  • Put the Beat  ( refer to material picture ) on the top of the cone and stick it.
  • Then put a red bead on top of the beat.
  • Then bend the head pin using nose plier and make a small loop.
  • Insert a jump ring to the loop.
  • Stick the stone lace to the edge of the cone. Here I have used big stone lace.
  • Put the completed cone to the earring stud to form a beautiful quilling jhumka.  

The complete quilling jhumka will look like this :



You can use this earring  as a stud as well as a jhumka.

Two in one quiling earrings





                     Quilling Jhumkas are the most unique style of quilling earrings. It is becoming very popular nowadays. Paper quilling jhumkas are light weight and can be made in any color to match your outfit. It is very easy to make a quilling jhumka. You can make them in different sizes , colors and styles.

The materials required are :

  • Quilling needle
  • Gold color quilling strips ( 5 mm )
  • Jump rings
  • Head pin
  • Beats
  • Pearl lace
  • Earring studs
  • Nose plier
  • Fevicol
  • White pearl
  • Ball chain ( gold ) 
  • Jhumka mould

  • Make a tight coil using 2 quilling strips of gold color.  I have used 5 mm quilling strips for this.
  • Stick a white pearl in the middle and wrap the Gold Chain ( refer to materials picture ) around it.
  • For the edge stick the Pearl Lace ( refer to materials picture ) around it. Here I have used the small pearl lace.
  • Then stick the earring stud.

Lower part:
  • Make a tight coil by attaching 5 quilling strips of gold color. I have used 5 mm quilling strips/
  • Make a cone using the jhumka mould ( whichever shape/size is suitable ). You can also make the cone without the mould as well.
  • Apply fevicol inside and outside of the cone.
  • Insert the Head Pin ( refer to material picture ) along with two pearls in downward to upward direction.
  • Put the Beat  ( refer to material picture ) on the top of the cone and stick it.
  • Then bend the head pin using nose plier and make a small loop.
  • Insert a jump ring to the loop.
  • Stick the pearl lace to the edge of the cone. Here I have used big pearl lace.
  • Put the completed cone to the earring stud to form a beautiful quilling jhumka.
