Ice Cream Party

Hello Friends,

Friends !! want to have some ice creams in this hot summer? Here are some delicious ice cream flavours for you.
This post is for my entry for #IQCG 70

First let us learn how to make the quilling table:

•  Base - Make a tight coil using 30 quilling strips ( 5 mm ). I have used green and yellow colours          alternatively.
• Legs - Make a cone using single yellow colour quilling strip ( 10 mm ). Make three such cones for the legs.

Here are five flavours of ice cream which I have made using quilling. Let me show you:

1. Mango and Strawberry Scoop:

• Cup - Make a cone shape by making a tight coil ( 5 mm ) using 5 quilling strips . Make another cone and place it upside down. Refer picture . I have used blue colour for the cup.
• Scoops - Make a small cone using 2 quilling strips ( 3 mm ) . I have made two colours ( yellow and pink ). Make the choco stick using cream colour quilling strip.

2. Cone ice cream:

• Lower Part - Make a long cone using single quilling strip ( 10 mm ) . I have used cream colour.
• Upper Part -  Make a short cone using two quilling strips ( 5 mm ) . I have used orange colour. Make a tight coil using single red colour quilling strip ( 3mm ) for the cherry.

3. Chocolate cup ice cream :

• Lower Part - Make a cup shape by rolling 7 quilling strips ( 5 mm ) . I have used white colour quilling strip.
• Upper Part - Make a cone shape by rolling 7 quilling strips ( 5 mm ) . I have used brown  colour quilling strip. Cut some white pieces and stick on the chocolate part . 

4. Gadbad ice cream:

• Make a tight coil using 2 quilling strips ( 3 mm ). You can choose the colours of your ice cream . Make 5 such tight coils . I have used white , peach and pink colour .
• For the top part you need to make a cone shape.  Make a cherry for decoration. 
• Take sketch pens and draw some dots on the coils which looks like tuity fruity.
• I have wrapped a plastic sheet to make it look real. 

5. Bar ice cream:

• Make a tight coil using three quilling strips ( 5 mm ) . Do not stick fevicol at the end , leave it loose and give it a bell shape. 
• Make two such coils ( Yellow and brown ). 
• Stick a cream colour strip for the ice cream stick.

I have made three quilling dolls and arranged them near the ice cream table.
As you can see one doll is holding a choco bar ice cream. All are enjoying the party.

Quilling Floral Art

Dear Friends,

I made this unique Floral Art for a  very special occasion. For my parents Anniversary. As you can see,  I have tried to quill some tulip flowers.
First you need to draw the design on a white cardboard , after that you have to colour it. You can choose your own colour  combination. I have coloured green for the leaves . For the flowers , I have choosen 7 different colours. You can either use crayons or colour pencils.

Then you need to select the quilling strip which matches with the coloured flower. I have used 5 mm quilling strips for this.
Place the quilling strip in a vertical manner .
Make sure you stick the strips only for the outline of the flower. You should not fill up the whole flower. Refer to the picture.

I have  made a cardboard frame ( white colour ) for my beautiful Art work. You can  add designs to your frame as well.

Quilling mandala

Hello Friends,

This is the second Quilling Mandala I am doing. You must have seen my previous one. In which I had made 8 ganeshas all around. In this mandala , I have made a floral design with leaves and stems.
I have used a 2 mm MDF board ( 12 " by 12 " ) dimension.
You have to draw the design with a pencil before starting your quilling work.The complete design is made using 3 mm quilling strips of different colours.

Let me show you in detail:

Step 1 :

• For the center I have made a tight coil ( yellow colour ) using 2 strips.
• The next layer has tight coils using double colour ( green and purple ). Make 7 such coils.
• The third layer has marquise shapes around the inner circle. I have used yellow and orange colour combination. Refer to the picture.

Step 2 :

• Make comb flower shapes to fill the mandala shape.
• I have used blue , pink and green colours in an alternate fashion.
• Make two such shapes and stick it opposite to each other. 

Step 3 :

• Make comb flower shapes to fill the mandala shape.
• I have used purple ,light pink and red colours in an alternate fashion.
• Make two such shapes and stick it opposite to each other.

Step 4 :

• Make comb flower shapes to fill the mandala shape.
• I have used dark blue , orange and green colours in an alternate fashion.
• Make two such shapes and stick it opposite to each other. 

Step 5 :

• Make comb flower shapes to fill the mandala shape.
• I have used light green , brown and light blue colours in an alternate fashion.
• Make two such shapes and stick it opposite to each other. 

Step 6:

• Mark 12 points for the flowers. Stick tight coils ( yellow colour )
• Make flowers of your choice around the center design.
• Refer the picture. Try to use double shades of colour for the flowers.

Step 7:

• Attach the flowers with some stems and leaves .
• Your Quilling Mandala is complete.

You can make your own designs using different colour combinations .
