Fringed Quilling Jhumka

Now that you have seen many series of two in one quilling jhumkas , lets try out something new and unique. Any guess ??  How about a fringed jhumka?

Yes , this is what I am showing in this post. For this jhumka, I have used orange color quilling strip. You can select the color to match your outfit. It is very easy to make this unique quilling jhumka. You can make them in different sizes , colors and styles. For this you need 5 mm and 3mm quilling strip of the same color.

For the materials used please refer to the earlier post :

For the Studs :

Make a tight coil using 3 quilling strips of 3mm dimension. Decorate using pearl and ball chain.

For the jhumka:

  • Strip 1 - Take a 3 mm quilling strip.
  • Strip 2 - Take a 5 mm quilling strip and cut fringes all along the quilling strip.
  • Strip 3 - Take a 5 mm quilling strip and cut fringes all along the quilling strip.
  • Strip 4 - Take a 3 mm quilling strip.
Attach the quilling strips in a series fashion (Strip 1 - 4)

Start rolling from Strip1 and make a coil. This coil may not be a tight one. Please be careful about the fringes.
After making the coil make a cone using the jhumka mould. Apply fevicol inside the cone to make it intact. Let it dry completely. Then slowly open the fringes.   Decorate the jhumka using ball chain and stone line.

Attach the stud with the jhumka and your fringed quilling jhumka is ready.

You can use this earring  as a stud as well as a jhumka.
And please don't forget to apply a coat of transparent (clear ) nail polish to give it a shiny look. This will also make your earrings water proof.

I  hope you liked this unique quilling jhumka. Please let me know how your jhumka looked .
