Quilling Peacock with Resin

 Hello friends,

Peacock with resin

This is a unique artwork with a combination of quilling with Resin. To know more details on Resin Refer here

Let me show you how to make this beautiful peacock. I have used green colour quilling strips for this.

·        For the face make a tight coil using 3 quilling strips (5 mm).

·         For the neck part, make a loose coil using 2 quilling strips (5 mm). Bend it into a rectangle shape as shown.

·        The beak is made using red colour strip. Make a triangle shape using a single strip (5 mm).

·        For the body make a tight coil using 6 quilling strips (5 mm). Use dark green colour strip.

·        The feathers are also made using dark green quilling strips. Stick around 12 quilling strips adjacent to each other. Make a fan shape. Apply fevicol on that.

·        Make small tight coils using half a strip (yellow colour) and stick on the feathers. I have used 3 mm quilling strips. Refer to the picture.

·        The legs are made using brown colour quilling strips.

·        Attach all the parts and draw the eyes with a marker.

After all the parts are dried, you need to take a mould for the peacock. Mix the resin, place the peacock in the mould and fill up the mould. Once dried after 24 hrs, your beautiful art piece is ready.

This was done by my daughter expressing her love for me. She gifted it to me on Mother’s Day. I loved it.
