Hi friends,
Happy Navarathri to all. Durga is a popular form of Hindu goddess. She is the warrior and a fierce form of the protective mother goddess. For details please click the link Durga.
As Navaratri / Dussehra festival has started, I have tried to attempt something unique. I hope you all like it.
I have made a Goddess Durga using quilling.
For this you need:
- Kg cardboard of desired size
- Quilling strips of 3 mm dimension ( different colours ).
- Fevicol
- First you need to draw the outline of the Goddess on a Kg cardboard.
- Give the outline of the drawing using black colour quilling strip. Take care as to stick the strip on the length side so as to get embossed look and not flat.
- Then you need to fill the drawing with the basic quilling shapes using different colour quilling strips.
- For the eyes and eyebrows I have used black colour quilling strip.
- For the crown , I have made tight coils of different colours.
- For the necklace and ears , I have made loose coils of different colours.
Frame your Goddess and decorate you wall with this beautiful piece of art.
Thanks for your support.
Looks beautiful.Apt for the occasion
