Floral Quilling wall hanging

Hi friends,

Now that I have shown you how to make a variety of earrings , jhumkas etc, lets explore other quilling benefits . In this post I am  showing you something which can be used to decorate your wall.  I hope you know what I am talking about , Yes !! it's  a beautiful quilling wall hanging. The theme used for this wall hanging is only flowers , flowers and flowers.
As I have shown in my earlier posts how to make different types of shapes flowers (Please refer to the link).
The same concept I have used for this wall hanging. I have made different types of flowers and decorated on a straw mat. You can also decorate the flowers on a cardboard as well. You can make the flowers of any size based on your choice.

The basic steps are shown below:

  • First you need to take a straw mat and attach the borders to it. This will also make it stiff and look beautiful.
  • I have used only 3 mm quilling strips of different colours to decorate the wall hanging.
  • Make different types ( colours ) of flowers and arrange it according to your choice.
  • Stick the flowers using fevicol.
As you can see in the picture , I have made tear drop flower , marquise flower , petal shape flower , heart shape flower and a curved marquise flower.
  • Make some leaves and stems using green colour quilling strip.
  • Make a beautiful pattern and your quilling wall hanging is ready.

As you can see , I have made each of these quilling flowers using two colours to  make it look more elegant and beautiful.

I hope you liked my creation of this. Please share your views .

Quilling jewellery set

Hello friends,

Now you have seen how to make a variety of earrings , jhumkas , studs etc. In this post I am showing you how to make a complete jewellery set using quilling. This includes a necklace , earrings , bangles and hair clips. I made this jewelley set for my daughter's birthday.
I have used mainly two colours ( dark pink and cream ). I have also used pearls to decorate the bangles. Let me explain all of them in detail.

1. Earrings:
For the earrings I have made a tight coil using a single 3 mm yellow color quilling strip. I have also used a flat pearl for the center which will look attractive. For the petals I have made 10 tear drop shapes using 3 mm dark pink color quilling strips. Attach them together along with the earring hook and your earrings are ready.

2. Necklace:

For the necklace , I have made 25 tight coils using 3 mm dark pink colour quilling strips. Then I have used 25 pearls , now string the quilling beads and pearls in an alternate fashion till you get the deisred length for the necklace. For the pendant , I have made it similar to the earring but a little big size. You can also decorate your necklace pendant using pearls or kundans.

3. Bangles:
First you need to make an open coil using 10 mm cream colour quilling strips. Once the coil is ready you need to apply fevicol on both the sides of the coil to give the bangle a better shape. This will also make it stiff. Allow it to dry. Then take a dark pink colour 5 mm quilling strip and wrap it around the coil. Please refer to the picture. Finally you can decorate the bangles using flat pearls or kundan to make it look more elegant.

4. Hair Clips:
For the hair clip , take a plain clip. Make a flower using heart shape petals . Then stick the flower onto the plain clip. Decorate it using pearl or kundan. Your beautiful quilling hair clip is ready.

To make the quilling jewellery sets you can use any colour combination of your choice. And please dont forget to apply a coat of transparent nail polish for your beautiful jewellery.
I hope you liked this quilling jewellery set. Please share your views .
