  • Make three such coils and attach one above the other.
Attach the lower part with the upper part. Insert a head pin from the bottom till the top of the hut. Make a small loop.
Insert the key chain in the loop.

Silk Thread Jhumkas ( Dual colour )

Hi friends,

I hope you have tried my new creation of silk thread jhumka. The one I did in my previous post was using single colour. Here I am showing a different type of silk thread jhumka using two colours.  The method of wrapping the silk thread is the same , you only need to wrap two colours in an alternate pattern.
  • The first one I have done using blue and gold colour silk threads.
  • The second one I have done using pink and black colour silk threads.

Quilling Doll House

Hi friends ,

In this post I am showing you something very unique and different. I have made a doll house using quilling. This house includes a small house , a car , some trees , bushes , flower pots , a water pond and lot more. I will explain the steps in detail..

  • First you need to take a thick cardboard for the base.
  • Cut it into a square / rectangle shape as per your requirement.
  • Using ice cream sticks you can make the fence for the house.
House :
  • Make four coils using  20 skin colour 10 mm quilling strips.
  • Attach them one above the other.
  • For the roof , make a cone using 10 blue colour 5 mm quilling strips.
  • Attach the roof to the base of the house.
  • Make the door and the window .
  • Decorate the house as per your choice.

Pond :
  • Make a border using blue colour crimped 5 mm quilling strip.
  • Cut small strips and stick them onto the pond.
Tree :

  • Make a tree trunk  by making a long cone using 2 brown colour 10 mm quilling strips.
  • Make the leaves by making green colour cresent shape coils.
  • Attach the leaves to the tree trunk.
  • Make two flower pots.

 Car :
  • Make a loose square coil using one red colour 5 mm quilling strip.
  • Make one more loose square coil using two red colour 5 mm quilling strips. Attach both the coils.
  • Make the wheels by making tight coils using one black colour 5 mm quilling strip.

Bushes :
    • Make fringed flowers using one green colour 10 mm quilling strips.
    • Make as many you want to decorate the garden.
Once you make all these , you can stick them onto the cardboard and complete your house. And of course the house is incomplete without the doll. Place the doll near the house and your quilling doll house is ready.

I hope you liked my quilling doll house. Please share your views. 😊
